Laura Ingalls Wilder Exibit
 
The Laura Ingalls Wilder Home Association is proud to bring
this panel display to our school. Thanks to a grant from
the Missouri Humanities Council this 16 panel display,
originally exhibited at the Library Center of the
Springfield Greene County Library system. It originated in
Missouri schools and several exhibits travel around the
country making stops at many libraries. The display
contains photographs and information relating to Mrs.
Wilder, her famous "Little House" books and America's
westward expansion. The display is in our school library
along with many books by Mrs. Wilder, and many other books
relating to the Westward Expansion. The Missouri Humanities
Council is a non-profit organization affiliated with the
National Endowment for the Humanities in Washington, D.
C. Its mission is "to help people learn about our history,
our literature, and the ideas that shape our
democracy". Information about the council is available on

The activity folder is for teachers to use and includes
crossword puzzles, scavenger hunts from the displays, a
word search, and more.

Mandatory Ski Meeting
 On January 30th to February 2nd, Hailey Elementary School will participate
in our 33rd annual ski program. The program includes 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.
If you are a parent volunteer please remember the mandatory meeting Wed. Jan
25th at 6PM in our library. |

H'Sao Performs for HES
Students and teachers at Hailey Elementary School shared some
winter energy singing and dancing with the H'Sao group
from Chad. What a great way to experience other cultures of song
and dance. Everyone had great fun as you can see!
